母の宝石箱から　/ Found in my mother's jewel box

母の宝石箱から偶然見つけた七宝焼のブローチ。20年ほど前に友人から譲り受けたものだそうです。

特に外側の白や薄い灰色の釉薬が艶消しされ、とても温かな雰囲気を醸し出しています。手元にある教科書やネットを調べても、泥七宝⁉️シャモットを混ぜた⁉️ヤスリや朴炭で磨いた⁉️と疑問が膨らむばかり。（どなたか詳しい方、教えてください🙇‍♂️）

艶消しされた七宝焼の美しさは何十年経っても変わらず、とても魅了される、大好きな作品です。

I accidentally found this brooch in my mother’s jewel box. She said that a friend gave her the brooch about 20 years ago.

The outside white and gray part is different from the regular Japanese enamels, it is so matte. I rummaged through my books and internet, but is it “doroshippo (t/n:mud enamel), or mixed with chamotte, or polish with sandpaper/magnolia charcoal.? (If someone knows the answer, please give me a hint.)

The beauty of the matte shippoyaki hasn’t changed for years, I really love the brooch. I’m so happy that my mother has kept it for years.
